Account Executive – Industrial Reagents and Equipment – West Coast
AquaPhoenix Scientific, located in Hanover, PA and a leader in the commercial water treatment industry, has an immediate opening for an Account Executive to lead sales and customer relations initiatives across the Mountain West and West Coast regions. Primary responsibilities include driving sales growth by managing existing client relationships and developing new business opportunities by offering the Company’s industrial reagents, test kits, and equipment products.
Must have proven sales experience and considerable knowledge of the water treatment industry or similar field. The successful candidate will provide technical solutions to customers, proactively manage the full sales cycle, and meet sales targets by building partnerships that fuel long-term growth. This is a remote position and is subject to customary travel as reasonably required by the Company to perform the essential responsibilities of the role.

Essential Responsibilities and Expectations:
Although not all inclusive, additional responsibilities, expectations and skills will include:
- Manage a portfolio of accounts within a sales territory.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with existing and potential customers. Understand and anticipate their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Act as a resource to resolve barriers to success by collaborating with internal and external customers.
- Develop monthly sales targets. Report on the status of accounts and transactions.
- Set and track long range pipeline of sales that meet and exceed company objectives.
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop a thorough understanding of industry products and services.
- Meet regularly with internal teams to discuss project progress and find new ways to improve business and processes.
- Must be accurate, highly organized, able to make sound decisions, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Desired Skills, Education, and Knowledge:
AquaPhoenix Scientific considers applicants with diverse backgrounds, education, and work experience; however, applicants for the Account Executive position will frequently have a combined education and/or work experience that is a minimum of a high school diploma with extensive water treatment industry knowledge, and 5 years of proven sale experience. An advanced degree, military experience, vocational training or similar in business, marketing, chemistry, or engineering is beneficial.
Additional characteristics and skills include but are not limited to:
- Must have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding customer expectations and/or receiving positive customer feedback.
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce/HubSpot)
- Familiarity with MS Excel (analyzing spreadsheets and charts)
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Accurate, highly organized, able to make sound decisions, and manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to the details.
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations and product demonstrations.
- A valid US driver’s license in good standing.
- Capacity to travel to customer locations, trade shows, and other business needs with little advance notice, using various forms of transportation.
