Responsibilities
- Perform the review and analysis of capital project and asset activity to ensure that fixed assets are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and documented internal controls.
- Record the acquisition and disposal of company assets, calculating and recording depreciation, reconciling the fixed asset ledger, and conducting physical inventory counts.
- Provide support necessary to plan for and achieve corporate financial objectives.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
- Follow basic operating procedures within the Company accounting framework to provide efficient and timely financial reporting.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly accounting postings and deadlines.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Assist in review of service center accounting including reconciliation review and compliance with Company accounting framework.
- Prepare documentation for financial audits, tax audits, business license renewals, census reporting, and various regulatory notices.
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Drive ongoing improvement by ensuring adequate internal controls and accurate reporting in accordance with company policy and GAAP.
- BS degree in Accounting required. CPA or CPA progress a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience at a large company or public accounting firm, with experience in accounting for fixed assets required.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, including compliance with US GAAP.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
