What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optical Receptionist/Technician Needed position at Aqua Vision?
Our Practice is looking for an Optical Receptionist/Technician to join our team.
Your Duties: We want high quality customer service. You have to be able to answer phones and make patient care appointments. Looking for a person that loves people and interacting with them on the phone or in person. Be able to multitask. Must be able to follow direction well from supervisor and have a strong attention to detail.
Be able to process insurance claims and obtain documentation as needed.
Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits and do contact lens insertion and removal
File all patient records daily and pull patient files for the next day's appointments.
- Check on status and notify customers when orders are in or of any delays.
- Check on patient jobs daily and deal with any back orders.
- Must Keep reception area tidy and presentable. Be able to assist the doctor as needed.
Other responsibilities include but not limited to;
- Responsible for overseeing Office opening and closing.
- Ability to adjust patients' Eye glasses and deal with customer service issues in a timely manner. Dispensing of Eyewear and Contacts.
- Must be proficient in auto refraction and use of Medical Software.
- Must be able to make Sales and be a Team Player and Must come to work in a timely manner.
Position Requirements : Experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role is preferred. Especially in the Optical field. Must be okay with handling multiple phone lines. And multi tasking. Knowledge of fluent Spanish is a plus.
Professional attitude and appearance. Strong customer service skills. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise. Excellent organizational skills. Must come to work looking professional and tidy.
