Aquatics Manager
Location: Surprise, Arizona

Schedule: Evening availability and at least one weekend day required

The Aquatics Manager is a hands-on leadership position responsible for developing our swim instructor team and ensuring children receive safe, high-quality swim instruction.
This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging leader who wants to gain experience in team management, employee development, operations, customer service, and business performance. Previous aquatics management experience is not required. Aqua-Tots provides comprehensive curriculum, safety, and leadership training.

What You Will Learn

What You Will DoTeam Leadership
- Recruit, train, coach, and support swim instructors
- Conduct instructor observations and provide constructive feedback
- Help employees set goals and create development plans
- Build a positive culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Identify and develop future leaders
- Ensure instructors consistently follow the Aqua-Tots curriculum
Aquatic Operations and Safety
- Oversee daily swim instruction and aquatic operations
- Maintain high standards for class quality and swimmer safety
- Ensure compliance with Aqua-Tots curriculum, policies, and safety procedures
- Create and adjust instructor schedules based on enrollment needs
- Monitor class capacity, staffing, and instructor productivity
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
Family Experience
- Build positive relationships with swimmers and their families
- Help families understand their child’s progress and swimming goals
- Respond professionally to questions, feedback, and concerns
- Support member satisfaction, retention, and long-term participation
Business Operations
- Monitor labor, enrollment, retention, and other key performance indicators
- Help create action plans to improve program performance
- Support enrollment and revenue goals
- Collaborate with school leadership on operational priorities
- Participate in community events and local partnerships

Leadership experience may come from employment, athletics, coaching, education, childcare, volunteer work, internships, or student organizations. Experience in aquatics, recreation, fitness, education, hospitality, healthcare, childcare, or retail is helpful but not required.
Position Requirements
- Ability to complete all required Aqua-Tots training
- Availability to work evenings and at least one weekend day
- Ability to work in a warm, humid, and chlorinated aquatic environment
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds
