Front Desk Associate – Aqua-Tots Swim School

About the Front Desk Role
As a Front Desk Associate, you will support our General Manager and leadership team with daily school operations while delivering exceptional customer service. This is an excellent entry-level position for candidates who want to develop strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Family Support
- Warmly greet all families entering the facility
- Communicate clearly with new and existing customers
- Build lasting relationships with parents and swimmers
- Handle customer concerns professionally and work toward win/win solutions
- Report unresolved issues to management
- Model excellent customer care for other staff members
Daily Front Desk Operations
- Uphold Aqua-Tots Swim School Core Values
- Provide families with world-class customer service
- Support parents and swimmers through their water-safety journey
- Follow all front desk systems, policies, and procedures
- Sell swim lessons and related merchandise
- Answer phones using the Aqua-Tots standard greeting
- Provide details on programs, membership options, and birthday parties
- Conduct tours for new or interested families
- Register new students and update existing accounts
- Enter absences, schedule makeups, and prepare new customer welcome packets
- Process payments and verify registration details
- Communicate schedule changes to instructors
- Prepare graduation certificates and take swimmer photos
- Complete all daily checklists
- Maintain facility cleanliness and safety
- Assist with opening/closing procedures
- Restock snacks, retail items, office supplies, and promotional materials

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Candidates staying local for at least 1 year (ideal for NOVA/GMU students or recent grads)
- 1 year of customer service, front desk, retail, childcare, or aquatic experience
