Duties
- Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order to load, unload, and transport materials safely across the facility.
- Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and receiving tasks to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Assist with materials handling activities including heavy lifting, mechanical knowledge application, and proper packaging techniques.
- Support warehouse distribution operations by load & unload activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and uphold safety protocols during all operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations including inventory management, receiving, and order fulfillment.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers with certification if applicable.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar platforms for inventory tracking.
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of construction or manufacturing environments are advantageous.
- Excellent materials handling skills with a focus on safe heavy lifting practices in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for leadership opportunities.
