ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Lead and develop a team of employees and contractors by setting clear expectations, promoting accountability, providing coaching and feedback, and creating an engaged, high-performing work environment. Manage day-to-day operations across multiple facilities and work locations with a focus on safety, service quality, environmental stewardship, operational performance, and customer satisfaction. Plan, prioritize, and oversee daily work activities while coordinating resources to meet business needs and operational goals. Manage field operations, maintenance activities, repair programs, and contracted services to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards. Develop, manage, and monitor operating budgets. Partner with internal stakeholders to plan, prioritize, and execute capital improvement and infrastructure projects. Maintain accurate operational records, performance metrics, and reporting systems to support business decisions, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement efforts. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and other support functions to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within established requirements. Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, municipalities, contractors, public agencies, and community stakeholders. Represent the company at meetings and public events as needed. Monitor operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, service quality, and reliability. Respond to operational issues, emergencies, and changing business priorities while ensuring continuity of service and support. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in operations, construction, manufacturing, utilities, field services, transportation, facilities management, public works, military leadership, or a related environment.
  • Experience managing employees, contractors, projects, budgets, or multiple work activities preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive operational results.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license required.
  • Ability to obtain company-required certifications and training after hire.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience in water, wastewater, utility, infrastructure, public works, construction, manufacturing, or other operational environments is preferred but not required
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Experience managing operational activities, projects, budgets, and resources.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with employees, customers, contractors, and business partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software applications.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze information, prioritize work, and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
