Summary: We are looking for a Customer Service Representative to join our amazing team in Jacksonville, FL! Our Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role at Aqua Gulf! CSRs are responsible for managing assigned accounts, growing relationships, soliciting and accepting loads, and ensuring the timely delivery of committed freight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proactively exceeds customer expectations for communication and service
- Communicates with each assigned customer at least once per week
- Develops and maintains strong customer relationships
- Realizes annual customer commitments by working with Planning and Business Partner Managers
- Anticipates and identifies problems and finds solutions
- Accepts and solicits orders by phone, email, websites, and other electronic transmissions
- Documents account and load specific information in the operating system for assigned customers and locations
- Checks orders, location codes, and customer profiles for data accuracy and update details to exceed customer expectations
- Updates customer portals and approves all charges in TruckMate
- Monitors customer container days in and out of ports to prevent storage and demerge charges
- Exceed metrics, leads, and lag measures in all areas including service, phone etiquette, and solicitation
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Knowledge of the Transportation industry and Department of Transportation regulations
- Knowledge of geographic locations, with the ability to understand and calculate time and distance
- Strong phone skills to include tone, pace, and clarity
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a high-paced work environment
- Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use at least 3 different programs simultaneously
- Solid planning and organizing skills with strong attention to detail
- Creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitude
- An innovative approach to problem solving
- Highly goal-oriented and results-driven
- BS/BA in Business Administration or Logistics Management, OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of customer facing experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of Customer Service experience in Transportation.
