An ideal Maintenance Technician will blend car wash experience with passion for safety and quality work. The purpose of this role is to conduct preventative and as-needed maintenance of car wash equipment; support building and landscape upkeep; and ensure functionality of sites. This position will be a resource to management staff and production employees as well.

Job Description

• Responsible for all preventative maintenance at Pensacola Rocket Carwash locations; visit assigned sites weekly to perform preventative maintenance
• Provide on-site support when/if breakdowns occur; must be available weekdays, weekends, and/or after hours as necessary
• Provide daily and weekly reporting to Site and Regional Management about maintenance findings, upkeep needs, trends, etc.
• Oversee maintenance-related inventory management and maintain accurate accountability of spare parts at each site; apply cost control methods in inventory management
• Organize front- and back-end of operations to meet 5S Safety standards
• Must be experienced and able to fulfill expectations involving regular use hand tools, power tools, power washer, lift equipment, ladders, and minor electrical tools (e.g., use of voltage tester; ability to reset breaker; replacement of light fixtures, bulbs, smoke/carbon detectors, etc.)
• Must understand and comply with laws/policies regarding Federal and State Safety Regulations
• Serve as a safety role model and is viewed as a leader
• Assist with acquisition and new site equipment installs
• Manage applicable vendor relationships
• Represent the business and provide a positive experience in any interactions with members and customers
• Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Associate degree, equivalent technical training, or appropriate hands on experience
• Experience in electronics, AC/DC inverters and drives, and PLCs
• 2-3 years of experience with Electro-Mechanical System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
• Must possess strong communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak professionally and with proper grammar
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics
• 2-3 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Strong background in conveyor systems
• Mechanical/electrical components including shafts, bearings, gear boxes, pumps, motors, drives, and 3-phase power
• Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Can problem-solve situations and provide sound resolution; must be resourceful in troubleshooting and when escalating technical support
• Has the ability to work independently and represent Rocket Carwash in a courteous manner
• Has the aptitude to critically think, identify problems, and find quality solutions to problems when they occur with minimal guidance
• Proactive, self-starter on identifying tasks and programs to complete and/or document
• Is willing and able to learn how to complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance of car wash equipment and facilities
• Has the ability to work under pressure
• Can effectively train team members on the proper way to safely operate equipment while ensuring a high-quality member experience
• Has the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed verbal and written instructions

Preferred Experience

• Certified through a tech/trade school beyond high school
• Automation and controls troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Can safely, and without restriction, lift and carry objects weighing 50-100 pounds
• Has the capacity to work occasionally in poor weather conditions including, for example, heat, cold, rain, or snow

Additionally:

• 401(k) with a 4% match starts at 90 days of employment
• PTO is accrued per paycheck, and totals 80 hours paid vacation per year and increases with tenure
