Job Description
Aqua Contractors is a growing construction company with 15 years of experience seeking a reliable, organized, and self-motivated Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team.
We are looking for someone with strong QuickBooks experience, bookkeeping knowledge, and the ability to support administrative operations in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, works well under pressure, and has strong communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and company expenses
- Assist with job costing and tracking project-related expenses
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
- Organize and track invoices, payments, vendor files, and W-9s
- Support monthly financial reporting
- Prepare letters, emails, memos, presentations, and reports
- Maintain and update contact databases and internal records
- Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and office schedules
- Support internal staff, management, vendors, and customers
- Assist with document organization using Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related office systems
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of QuickBooks experience required
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
- Construction company experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude with good customer service and people skills
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Bilingual English / Spanish required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cost control and budget-related administrative support
- Experience supporting office operations in a construction or service-based company
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure
