Compensation: $18/hour during trial period, $20/hour after 4 months based on performance

Job Description

Aqua Contractors is a growing construction company with 15 years of experience seeking a reliable, organized, and self-motivated Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our team.

We are looking for someone with strong QuickBooks experience, bookkeeping knowledge, and the ability to support administrative operations in a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, works well under pressure, and has strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping activities using QuickBooks
  • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and company expenses
  • Assist with job costing and tracking project-related expenses
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
  • Organize and track invoices, payments, vendor files, and W-9s
  • Support monthly financial reporting
  • Prepare letters, emails, memos, presentations, and reports
  • Maintain and update contact databases and internal records
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and office schedules
  • Support internal staff, management, vendors, and customers
  • Assist with document organization using Excel, Word, Adobe Acrobat, and related office systems

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of QuickBooks experience required
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience in Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable
  • Construction company experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work independently with little supervision
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional attitude with good customer service and people skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Bilingual English / Spanish required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cost control and budget-related administrative support
  • Experience supporting office operations in a construction or service-based company
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively under pressure
