The Project Manager II at Aqua-Chem is responsible for delivering capital equipment projects within budget and schedule. The Project Managers reports to Project Management Supervisor and is responsible for providing leadership in a matrix organization in delivering capital equipment often providing complex solutions to customer requirements. The role requires a high level of ownership and is able to mobilize resources across the organization with a clear focus on superior customer experience.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Essential Duties:
- Leads integrated project team beginning with project kick-off through project close.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams with internal and external experts to assure that customer expectations are met.
- Manage third-party suppliers including but not limited to mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, engineering, logistics, operating and maintenance, etc.
- Proactively mitigates risk throughout the project life cycle.
- Serves as the primary interface with the customer on all matters
- Assures that contract requirements is executed in accordance with appropriate regulations and Company policies and procedures (i.e.: federal acquisition regulations)
- Assures a timely closeout of completed projects
- Monitors the overall project schedules and budgets of all projects under his or her responsibility and provide timely reports to the management and finance department.
- Coordinates change order process in consultation with Applications, manufacturing and engineering.
- Provides timely updates to customers on project status
- Proposes new ideas that lead to a more effective and efficient organization of the projects, allowing cost reductions and generating more margin.
- Develop internal procedures for project management as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical, business, logistics preferred or equivalent experience
- 5 - 10 years of project management experience
- PMP preferred, but not required
- Previous internal and external customer service experience
- US Citizenship required, if assigned to Military projects/contracts.

- Travel required as driven by project needs
- Onsite stay as driven by project needs
- Coordination with international stakeholders required often in consideration of time zone difference
- Work requires a detail-oriented skillset.
- Able to work overtime as required
