We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Class A CDL OTR Truck Driver for usps dedicated lanes you will be responsible for timely and safe deliveries, strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and maintaining clear communication with dispatch.
- Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, in-route (within first 50 miles and periodically), and post-trip vehicle and cargo inspections. [1, 2]
- Cargo Security: Couple and uncouple trailers, verify and secure loads using straps, bars, or chains, and monitor weight distribution. [1, 2, 3]
- Documentation: Maintain electronic logging device (ELD) records, manage bills of lading, and submit fuel receipts and delivery paperwork. [1, 2]

3. Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Age & Language: Must be at least 21 years old (federal requirement for interstate commerce) and able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
- Medical: Valid DOT physical exam certificate and current medical card.
- Experience: Specify preferred OTR experience (e.g., “minimum 1 year of verifiable OTR tractor-trailer experience” or “open to recent accredited CDL school graduates”).
- Endorsements (if applicable): Note requirements for HAZMAT (H), Tanker (N), or Combination (X) if your freight demands it.
- Screening: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), pass a DOT drug and alcohol screen (including hair follicle or random testing), and clear a background check.
