APX Life Sciences is delighted to be partnering with a well-funded, commercial-stage biotechnology company to appoint an Associate Director/ Director of Clinical Pharmacology.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an innovative clinical development organisation where you'll play a key role in shaping Clinical Pharmacology strategy across multiple development programmes. Working within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment, you'll contribute scientific leadership across all phases of development, supporting dose selection, model-informed drug development, regulatory strategy, and clinical pharmacology activities from early development through to registration.
This position is ideal for an experienced Clinical Pharmacologist looking to step into, or continue growing within, a strategic leadership role in a fast-paced biotech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to Clinical Pharmacology strategy across one or more development programmes.
- Represent Clinical Pharmacology on cross-functional project teams.
- Support dose selection and optimisation through PK/PD principles, modelling & simulation, and translational science.
- Design and oversee Clinical Pharmacology studies and quantitative analyses.
- Prepare Clinical Pharmacology components for global regulatory submissions and support health authority interactions.
- Collaborate closely with Clinical Development, DMPK, Biometrics, Regulatory Affairs and Translational Sciences to support efficient drug development.
- Present Clinical Pharmacology strategies and data to internal governance committees and project teams.
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- A PhD, PharmD or equivalent qualification in Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacometrics or a related scientific discipline.
- Strong industry experience within Clinical Pharmacology in biotech or pharmaceutical drug development.
- Experience contributing to Clinical Pharmacology strategy across development programmes.
- Expertise in PK/PD, dose optimisation, modelling & simulation, and quantitative clinical pharmacology.
- Experience supporting INDs, NDAs and/or other global regulatory submissions, with exposure to health authority interactions.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills within a cross-functional matrix environment.
