What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCANNING CLERK position at APWU AFL-CIO HEALTH PLAN?
The Scanning Clerk is responsible for scanning and coding each document ensuring that the scanning quality meets established standards and that retrieval requests are filled accurately and in a timely manner. Additionally, this position is responsible for operating and maintaining all related equipment (e.g. high speed scanner and microfiche machine, etc.) Furthermore, the position is responsible for the continued basic maintenance of the equipment and retrieving jams from the transport. This position requires the incumbent to lift crates which contain claims/documents that are stored for reference weighing up to 50 pounds. Applicant must possess a minimum of one year general work experience reflecting progressively responsible work that indicates the possession of, or the ability to acquire, the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. Preference may be given to applicants with previous work experience as a scanning clerk. Day shift35 hours per week
