Role Summary
The Testing and Quality Assurance IV role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems for complex technical programs supporting FAA air traffic control systems (ERAM/TBFM/TFDM). This position involves extensive domestic travel (up to 90%) to airports and client sites to support equipment installation, validation, and testing. The role requires strong technical expertise, independence, and the ability to ensure compliance with QA standards across multiple project areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems
- Define and apply standards, methods, and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation
- Inspect and validate equipment delivery, installation (racks/cabling), and system setup
- Install hardware and update software systems as part of deployment activities
- Execute testing procedures to ensure precision, accuracy, and reliability of systems
- Verify adherence to QA processes prior to system testing and final acceptance
- Coordinate with FAA representatives for system validation and sign-off
- Support multiple technical projects spanning different disciplines
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues impacting multiple areas
- Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders
- Provide input and influence on solution design, processes, and QA methodologies
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements and implement corrective actions when needed
Required Technical Skills
- Quality Assurance systems development and implementation
- Experience with Government systems and QA activities
- Hardware installation (racks, cabling) and system validation
- Software update and testing processes
- Familiarity with Red Hat Linux hardware or IBM systems
- Experience with ADA/C for installation, release, and testing
- Knowledge of FAA Air Traffic Management programs (ERAM, TBFM, TFDM)
- Strong understanding of QA standards, testing methodologies, and inspection procedures
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with MS Office
- Prior experience supporting FAA programs or environments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience
- OR Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience
- OR Doctorate in a technical domain
- Alternatively, a 2-year degree with 5 years of relevant experience may be considered
- Engineering background required
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 90% domestically
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Must be eligible to obtain Public Trust (SF-85 FAA suitability clearance)
- Previous FAA experience must be in good standing and eligible for rehire
- Ability to work in airport and field environments outside a traditional office setting
