The Bath VA Medical Center is seeking dedicated and licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide long-term care services for Veterans. Schedule
- Full-time shifts, rotating weekends and federal holidays.
- 8-hour evening (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) or night (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM) tours.
- Option for 12-hour tours with one 8-hour shift every two weeks.
- Orientation: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM on weekdays (approx. 2 days).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care, assessments, and interventions for long-term care residents.
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor responses in accordance with VA policies.
- Document care activities accurately in CPRS/VISTA medical record systems.
- Collaborate with VA physicians, Nurse Executives, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and compliance with VA regulations.
- Participate in VA orientation, ongoing training, and competency evaluations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license valid in any U.S. State, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing (minimum of Associate’s considered; BSN preferred).
- At least 2 years of recent long-term care experience (VA experience preferred).
- Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association.
- Compliance with VA credentialing, privileging, immunization, TB, and background requirements.
