YOUR ROLE
The position is designed to execute the daily US import, exports & post entry, as well to execute month end financial reporting of customs expenses. Customs shall be according to the general guidelines that are established by the GTO/GTC Teams. Import/Export daily activities are monitored for all modes of transportation via inland, ocean or airports (Next Flight Out, Hand Carry or Charter requirements). Aptiv Mexico Customs Operation team is focused on supporting Mexico Manufacturing Plants (Primarily Bond) or US Manufacturing plants (Consumption Entry).
In your daily job you will:
- Resolve shipment data insufficiencies for imports & exports
- Post Entry Corrections
- Perform Duty Rate Analysis
- Report Customs Financials to Business
- Process Service Provider Invoices for payment
- PGA Reporting
- Entry Data Analysis & Auditing
YOUR BACKGROUND
Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:
- Professional Degree ( 2 years' experience)
- English (prefer bi-lingual in Spanish, but not required)
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office
- Basic accounting and foreign trade knowledge
- General knowledge of US Imports, Exports & Post Entry
- Ability to travel within North America as needed
