Aptitude is seeking Install & Repair Technicians to provide an unmatched customer experience installing new residential services and troubleshooting service interruptions. As an Install & Repair Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Providing an excellent experience to the customer through personable customer service.
• Installing, repairing, and upgrading customer equipment at homes, businesses, and at network sites.
• Terminating & splicing fiber optic cables.
• Configuring and troubleshooting customer premise equipment.
• Terminating ethernet cables with RJ-45 connectors.
• Maintaining inventory of necessary materials and tools for company vehicle.
• Safely using ladders, working on roofs, and using power tools.
• Mounting equipment on roofs, drilling holes accurately through exterior and interior walls, running cable through attics and crawl spaces.
• Network documentation.
• Occasional weekend on-call rotation.

Aptitude Internet is looking for candidates with the following skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; required.
• Valid Class E Driver’s License; required.
• Previous service installation experience; preferred.
• Knowledge of computer networking; preferred.
• Fiber optic experience; preferred.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Basic computer and troubleshooting skills.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Proven attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
• The ability to arrive at work on time and attired in alignment with company dress code.
• The proven ability to maintain a clean and hazard free work vehicle & environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to eight hours per day, climbing multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing 80 pounds.
• Ability to ride in a vehicle for up to four hours per day while traveling to job locations.
• Ability to work in different temperatures and changing weather conditions.
• Ability to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather conditions; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, and stretching.
• Understanding and identification of standard construction site hazards.
• Ability to differentiate colors, shades, and brightness levels.
• Flexibility of schedule to meet changing job demands.

This position will be based in St. James, MO. Training will take place at the Farmington, MO headquarters and is expected to last 3 weeks. Lodging will be provided during training.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
