What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer position at APTIM?
Job Overview:
Under direction of Construction Manager, provide support to soil excavation activities (hand digging around underground utilities loading trucks and stockpile soil, then backfill and site restoration including placing and compacting soils, and revegetation). Laborers will be paid federal prevailing wage for work performed.
Project Description: Residential remedial excavation and backfill of 40 properties, metals contaminated soils.
The base company wage for the Laborer position is $30.00 / hr. However, for this project, the Laborer position will be paid the Federal prevailing wage for work performed.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Use of hand tools & power tools
- Ability to work in team environment in safe and productive manner
- Be safe and professional while working in residential communities
- Install erosion control measures
- Clear vegetation
- Perform site restoration
Basic Qualifications:
- Civil Construction and/or environmental work experience
- Must live within daily commute of Jackson, CA
- No Felonies
- Clean driving record with valid license
- Dependable transportation and cell phone
- Able to pass drug screen and physical
- OSHA HAZWOPER Preferred

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $30 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
