Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Intern to support our engineering team with the design, testing, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems and components. This internship offers hands-on experience working on real-world engineering projects in a collaborative, professional environment.

This is a temporary position.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical systems and components
- Support schematic creation, wiring diagrams, and layouts
- Assist with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation
- Collect and analyze engineering data
- Support testing
- Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and reports
- Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings
- Follow company safety, quality, and compliance standards
- Ensures conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards as well as company policies and procedures.
- Is aware of costs and schedule related to own work.
- Organizes own work to meet deadlines set by others.
- Communicates information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
- Contributes to a team environment
Basic Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Completion of at least one year of core engineering coursework
- Basic understanding of circuit analysis and electrical principles
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in electrical engineering.
- Experience with schematic capture or PCB design tools
- Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies)
- Basic knowledge of power systems, controls, or electronics
- Programming experience (MATLAB, Python, C/C , or PLCs, CADD)
- Prior internship, lab, or relevant project experience
- FE and EIT candidates preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a diverse team setting
- Willingness to work across Engineering disciplines
- Strong multitasking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $22 to $24.13 per hour. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
