Master Control Operator - Onsite

Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Master Control Operator - Onsite for a contract position with a Leading Media and Entertainment Company located in Centennial, CO. This is a 6 month contract opportunity.

This role will support a current on-air operations team during a major systems migration. Responsibilities will include programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, event preparation, and monitoring on-air programming to ensure the continuity and quality of over 150 channel streams in a 24/7/365 environment.

Responsibilities:

• Support the on-air operations team during a major systems migration, including programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, and event preparation
• Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live-event and contingency workflows
• Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming
• Monitor and maintain 150 channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies
• Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on-air playout
• Act as the last line of defense, swiftly responding to any on-air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision-making skills
• Protect broadcasts by simulating the viewer experience, constantly checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality
• Collaborate with Operation Supervisors to promptly recover from any on-air discrepancies
• Communicate clearly with partner production teams to facilitate and execute requested changes to automation playlists
• Perform all other duties to support the success of the Network Operations Center

Requirements:

• A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in a broadcast, digital, or post-production role
• A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements
• Must be willing to work in Centennial, CO; this position is fully onsite
• Must have unrestricted employment authorization to work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be willing and available to work any shift including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation
• Must be willing and able to view all content including that considered to be mature in nature, repetitive, and potentially controversial

Desired skills:

• Prior professional experience working in master control or a production control room
• The ability to maintain composure and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
• Ability to adapt to new and changing workflows and software implementations
• An acute attention to detail and a knack for identifying inconsistencies
• Ability to multi-task and balance numerous priorities in a deadline-oriented environment
• A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A punctual, hardworking, disciplined, and dependable individual
• Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a definite plus

Pay range: up to $24.04 per hour
