The Senior Quality Engineer will lead cross-functional, project-based quality initiatives that are not confined to specific manufacturing areas. This broader scope enables a plant-wide approach to systemic risk-reduction and continuous improvement; something that area-specific roles are not structured to deliver.
Key Responsibilities & Impact
- Data-Driven Risk Reduction: The Sr. QE will leverage RFMEA, the Site Weakness Map and Six Sigma tools to identify and mitigate high-risk areas. These tools will enable smarter prioritization of improvement efforts and enhance our ability to protect customers through improved process capability.
- Leadership of Targeted Projects: This role will drive process and training initiatives aimed at eliminating root causes of quality issues. Expected outcomes include reductions in Q/S inventory, customer complaints, scrap, sorting and production disruptions.
- Customer-Facing Quality Support: Serving as the primary CFQE for all or a subset of our Lighthouse Production Cell customers, the Sr. QE will ensure rapid, consistent responses to quality concerns and provide critical backup coverage for other CFQEs, ensuring continuity and responsiveness.
- Quality Risk Reduction Tools Deployment: As a subject matter expert, the Sr. QE will lead the deployment of QRQC, FMEA, MSA, and Red Box Analysis tools. This includes training, mentoring and tracking effectiveness across the plant.
