Junior Software Engineer

We’re seeking a Junior COBOL Developer to join our development team and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our legacy systems that are critical to daily operations. This is an ideal opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in Computer Science who are eager to learn, grow, and build a strong foundation in enterprise systems.

You’ll work alongside seasoned developers and be supported with hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world project experience.

What You'll Do

• Assist in developing, maintaining, and supporting COBOL-based applications
• Analyze business and technical requirements to contribute to system design
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code under the guidance of senior developers
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging processes
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (QA, product, support) to ensure timely and high-quality delivery
• Learn from experienced developers and take on increasing responsibility over time

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (required)
• Exposure to COBOL through coursework, internships, or self-learning (a plus, not required)
• Understanding of programming fundamentals and software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Curiosity, initiative, and a strong willingness to learn legacy and modern technologies
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
