What You'll Do
As a Coating Machine Operator, you will:
- Safely operate powder coating equipment while following all safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Clean, prepare, coat, and bake powder-coated finishes on manufactured parts.
- Move parts manually or with hoists, cranes, or forklifts.
- Organize and identify racks and parts throughout the coating process.
- Inspect coated parts to verify proper coverage and finish quality.
- Operate coating equipment independently with minimal supervision.
- Troubleshoot routine process or equipment issues and communicate concerns when necessary.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine coating requirements and work sequences.
- Accurately record labor, complete job operations, and requisition materials using the company's software system.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in powder coating, industrial painting, spraying, or a related finishing process.
- A general understanding of manufacturing processes.
- The ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
