We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. This opportunity is available in Fairfax, VA (Fair Oaks location).
Duties:
- Work under the supervision of occupational therapists to implement customized treatment programs.
- Help patients with exercises and activities that improve their ability to perform daily tasks.
- Monitor and record patients' progress and report observations to the therapist.
- Assist in evaluating patients' progress and modifying treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy procedures and techniques.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- State licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical imaging.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Some experience with Outpatient Hand Therapy.
- Be available to work Monday - Friday, 2 shifts 7 AM - 3 PM and 3 shifts 11 AM - 7 PM, each week.
