Job Summary:
Under the direct supervision of the VP, Clinical Operations process information requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner. These requests include disability applications, attorney generated requests for information to aid in processing patient disability requests and/or legal matters; outside provider requests for information; and patient requests for copies of their records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete requests for information within 48 hours of receipt.
- Document disclosures in the APT Foundation EHR.
- Return phone calls for requests within 24 hours of receipt
- Assists in document scanning of external documents to the APT Foundation EHR.
- Assist in data entry into the DMHAS Ddap system.
- Provides ongoing coverage to the Call Center.
- Provides project assistance to various internal projects, both short and long term, as time permits.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
- Desire to work in a fast paced, changing environment
- Desire to work with persons who have substance use and mental health disorders
- Knowledge of excel and other data-based systems
- Understanding of basic medical office functionalities
Considering the unique relationship within multiple departments, it is estimated that in the typical day, the approximate time allocation is:
- 3.0 hours/day Medical Records Coverage
- 3.0 hours/day Call Center
- 1.5 hours/day Data Entry and Scanning
