Job Title: QA Inspector with Structural ExperienceLocation: Baltimore, MD AreaClient: General Services Administration (GSA)Due Date: OPENPay Range: 80,000 - $105,000 per year plus benefitsProject Details (Size, SOW, Site Background, etc.):APSI is currently seeking a QAQC Inspector with Structural experience to be part of an Owner's agent (CMa) team in support of a Program, in the Baltimore, MD area for the General Services Administration. This is a Full-Time onsite position. The QAQC Inspector with Structural Experience will be an essential part of the Construction Management team and will provide sound and proactive management advice to GSA to ensure the project is run safely and all GSA standards are met. The QAQC Inspector with Structural Experience shall have full understanding of the project contract documents, GSA and end user goals and requirements as validated by the CO. The QAQC Inspector with Structural Experience shall effectively monitor, assess, coordinate, and inspect the construction work of the contractor on the behalf of GSA.Daily Responsibilities:Maintain excellent relationships with clients, building occupants, the contractor and Design teamsProvide daily site inspections to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codesCoordinate in the field with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, designers, and regulatory agenciesPrepare daily reportsReview the Contractor's scheduleLabor complianceCoordinate 3rd-party special material testing inspectionsReview and provide input on potential change order issuesMaintain project recordsManage project photographic recordsVerification of field surveysReport on project issues and provide status updatesPerform other duties as may be required.Required Qualifications (Experience, Education, Certifications, Clearances, etc.):Ten (10) years of experience inspecting multiple types of construction including structural repairs. The inspector should be a master, journeyman or certified inspectorStrong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of OSHA safety regulations with 30HR OSHA Safety card (prior to start)The ability to work well with others, and willingness to learn in a team environment;Strong computer skills, experience with Windows Office and construction management software.Experience working on projects in occupied buildings.Experience as an inspector on projects greater than $5M in value that include structural components in the scope of work.This position will require some off-hours work, at night and/or on weekendsPreferred Qualifications:Experience as an Inspector on GSA projects and familiarity with federal policies and procedures
