APS Solutions ("APS") is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you will manage all tax-related responsibilities, with a strong focus on multi-state payroll taxes. You will work closely with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other team members to support accurate reporting, compliance, and financial operations. - Location: Sedalia, MO
- Pay: Starting at $75,000.00, and DOE and/or education
- Schedule: Fulltime - The primary schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Schedule may vary based on the needs of the business. APS Solutions operates 24/7.

Essential Job Functions:
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversees month end close procedures, including reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements regarding payroll tax laws.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and supporting documentation.
- Respond to notices and inquiries from payroll tax authorities.
- Provide support to CFO on tax implications to the company.
- Assist with the annual budget process and monthly department reporting.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 3 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
- Experience preparing and reconciling of business tax returns.
- Multi-state payroll tax knowledge or experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical tax information to non-finance professionals.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping and analysis.
- Achievement-oriented mindset; enjoys taking on challenges.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite—especially Excel.
