About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to help grow our ping pong table business throughout the Portland area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, building relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for finding and securing sales opportunities with small businesses, offices, apartment complexes, coworking spaces, schools, community centers, hospitality venues, and individuals interested in purchasing high-quality ping pong tables.
This position offers a negotiable base salary plus uncapped commission, providing significant earning potential for high performers. Base-plus-commission compensation is a common structure that rewards both prospecting and closed sales.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new customers throughout the Portland metro area
- Develop relationships with small business owners, office managers, property managers, schools, recreation centers, and event venues
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, email outreach, and in-person visits
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations when needed
- Follow up with prospects and manage the sales pipeline
- Negotiate and close sales opportunities
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
- Represent the company professionally at local events and networking opportunities
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
Qualifications
- Previous sales experience preferred (B2B, outside sales, retail sales, or account management)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Comfortable with cold outreach and prospecting
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Reliable transportation for local travel throughout Portland
- Familiarity with CRM systems is a plus
