About the Role
We are seeking an External Reporting Manager/Director to lead corporate reporting and SEC compliance processes. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate filings, preparing the organization for public company requirements, and serving as an internal expert on reporting and compliance. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity with strong growth potential for a senior manager or junior director ready to step into a leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead public company reporting processes, including SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, etc.)
• Oversee SOX compliance readiness and help design compliance frameworks
• Serve as the internal subject matter expert on reporting and compliance
• Collaborate with consultants during transition and move toward internal ownership of processes
• Provide accurate, timely reporting to leadership and external stakeholders
Requirements
• Strong experience in public company reporting, including direct responsibility for SEC filings
• Deep understanding of SEC requirements and compliance standards
• SOX compliance experience highly preferred
• Ability to work cross-functionally and with external consultants
• Willingness to join a pre-IPO company and help build processes from the ground up
