What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Manager position at April Lockhart and Disabled&?
We're looking for a social rockstar to join our team! Supporting all things content creator, April Lockhart and her latest project, Disabled& - a community for disabled creatives. This role will work closely alongside April & her tiny, mighty team and looking for the right fit to continue to support innovative, and meaningful social growth.
Must be based in Nashville, this will be a hybrid role for local talent only,
Responsibilities
- Editing short-form videos (familiar with CapCut, Edits, Splice or similar).
- Managing content calendar across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube).
- Spearheading TikTok-specific strategy - trend spotting, filming, and editing.
- Supporting copywriting across platforms.
- Leading community engagement via comments, DMs, etc.
- On location filing as needed (a pro with an iPhone camera).
- Supporting brand partnerships.
- Thrives on a small team - self-motivated, and loves wearing many hats.
- Comfortable with many moving parts & an ever-changing calendar. Not always typical hours.
- On the pulse of trends, audios and cultural moments.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of social media experience.
- Super comfortable on TikTok - from ideation to editing to voiceover.
- Know your way around video editing apps (CapCut, Splice, Edits, etc).
- YouTube long-form editing a bonus!
- Self-starter, and can run with an idea (or three) at once.
- Comfortable helping direct low-lift shoots.
- Understand that social isn't always a 9-5 (but it's also not that serious).
- Light design experience (Canva guru).
- Loves the social industry finds joy and purpose in what you do!
