Job Overview
We’re seeking an enthusiastic HR Coordinator to support our mission to help children achieve their highest potential. The Human Resource Coordinator enhances organizational culture and employee engagement through onboarding, internal communications, recognition programs, and continuous feedback processes. This role ensures new employees are successfully integrated, communication channels are clear and values-driven, and employee experience initiatives reflect the organization’s Built on Values framework. The position also supports compliance tracking and HR data analytics to strengthen decision-making and workforce planning.
Work Requirements:
Onboarding
- Facilitate the interview and selection process in partnership with HR and hiring managers.
- Lead New Hire Meet & Greets to foster early connection to culture and values.
- Administer and analyze 30-60-90 Day Surveys, providing feedback to leadership for process improvements.
Internal Communications
- Create and distribute the Rising Stars Newsletter and BOV Employee Spotlight features.
- Communicate new hires, promotions, birthdays, and anniversaries in a timely and engaging manner.
- Develop mental health and self-care campaigns, wellness resource communications, and benefit updates.
- Share flexibility and burnout prevention tips through multiple communication channels.
Employee Experience
- Champion organizational BOV (Built on Values) initiatives in partnership with HR and Marketing.
- Coordinate recognition programs, including birthdays, anniversaries, departures, flowers/e-gifts, and appreciation lunches.
- Conduct exit interviews, stay interviews, listening sessions, and DEI-focused engagement activities.
- Support professional growth through learning initiatives, technical training, and Paylocity yearly training.
Compliance
- Track and manage licenses and certifications, leveraging automated systems (Eddy).
Data Analytics
- Monitor and report on key HR metrics, including:
- Onboarding, applicant, and stay interview KPIs
- Employee engagement KPIs
- Turnover and retention KPIs
- Performance management KPIs
- Recruitment and hiring KPIs
- Provide data-driven insights to inform leadership decisions and improve HR strategies.
- All other Job Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
· 0–1 year of experience in Human Resources or related area (internship, practicum, or academic project experience accepted).
· Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
· Familiarity with HRIS systems (Paylocity, Eddy preferred) and survey/analytics tools is a plus.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
· Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds (e.g., boxes, equipment) without assistance. Capability to stand and walk for extended periods, including moving around the workspace, performing tasks, and interacting with colleagues or customers. Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel to access various items, equipment, or workspaces as required. Aptitude to reach overhead, horizontally, and below waist level to retrieve and handle objects or materials. The capacity to perform physically demanding tasks continuously throughout the workday. Physical ability to move freely and quickly in various work environments, including navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven terrain if necessary. If the job involves driving, a valid driver's license and the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly may be required.
