Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force MUOS Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. To be considered, you will have an Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering or related plus a minimum of 8 years of experience.

Position: Space Force MUOS Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer
Contract: 24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $86.34/hour
Schedule: Hybrid 9/80
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
As a systems engineer for the Space Force MUOS program, you’ll work as a member of a cross functional team responsible for defining, developing and sustaining enhancements to a live communication system. We provide warfighters with a familiar cellular phone-like service, allowing forces on the ground to communicate directly with others at higher levels of quality and much greater capacity than available through the current system.
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: experience with 3G/5G communication systems, core networking and model based systems engineering (MBSE).
What sets you apart:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 8 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

- Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and position others for success
- Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements
- Success leading the systems development life cycle with strong proficiency with requirements management and system modeling tools

- Experience with ground communication systems
- Strong understanding of core networking
- Strong presentation and communications skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutions
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
