Location: Saint Paul, MN 55102
Position: Front Desk Coordinator
Pay Rate: $22.60/hr
Duration: 13 weeks
Expected Shift: 40 hrs/week
Monday – Friday
8-hour shifts assigned between:
- 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
IMPORTANT CALL OUTS:
• Epic EMR experience required
• Healthcare front desk experience required
• Reliable transportation required
• Occasional coverage support at St. Paul clinic location
• Candidates will be informed in advance which location they will be supporting
• Travel between clinic locations during an active shift is not required
• Positive attendance and reliability are essential for success in this assignment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
• High School Diploma or GED required
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 1 year of healthcare front desk experience required
• Experience scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, and providing administrative and customer support in a healthcare setting
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Epic EMR experience required
• Appointment scheduling
• Patient registration
• Insurance verification and demographic data collection
• MyChart and In-Basket experience preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide exceptional patient customer service
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate patient needs in a fast-paced clinic environment
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to support cross-functional clinic operations
• Positive attendance and reliability
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing clinic support needs
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greet and welcome patients in person and by phone
• Perform patient registration and check-in/check-out processes
• Collect demographic, insurance, and financial information
• Obtain required patient documentation and signatures
• Direct patients to appointments and procedures
• Assist patients with telephone encounters
• Collect co-pays and remaining balances
• Respond to questions regarding financial assistance programs
• Perform End of Day reconciliation processes
• Support prescription refill order processes as appropriate
• Perform Epic and In-Basket responsibilities
• Review and respond to scheduling, records, and patient communication needs
• Review MyChart appointments for accuracy and appropriate follow-up
• Process reschedule reports and No Show letters
• Retrieve, sort, distribute, and scan medical records and clinic documentation
• Process incoming and outgoing clinic mail and faxes via RightFax
• Coordinate Release of Information requests
• Maintain patient care lobby and check-in areas
• Clean and disinfect lobby and patient-facing areas throughout the day
• Restock clinic supplies, brochures, and resources
• Support office communication needs, including answering and transferring calls
• Perform weekly downtime checks
• Participate in staff meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
