Our DoD/Aerospace client is looking to fill a Space Force – Network Design Engineering Support position that just opened in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will provide enterprise-level network design and engineering support for Space Force satellite ground systems within a classified, mission-driven environment. You will be part of a cross-functional engineering team responsible for the design, implementation, sustainment, and documentation of secure, high-performance network architectures supporting national security objectives.
To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent experience), along with extensive experience supporting enterprise and mission-critical network environments. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work performed within secure facilities.
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (On-site)
Position: Space Force – Network Design Engineering Support
Contract: 12 – 24 months with possibility of going direct
Pay: $80.57/hour
Schedule: First / Second Shift
In this role, you will use your technical and interpersonal skills to:
- Support enterprise and high-speed network design and topology development
- Contribute to secure, scalable network architectures supporting Space Force missions
- Collaborate with systems, software, cybersecurity, and infrastructure engineering teams
- Provide technical expertise across network operations, sustainment, and modernization efforts
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network architectures and topologies
- Support high-speed network design, deployment, and sustainment
- Maintain network environments utilizing:
- Linux IDM and Windows Server systems for DNS and account management
- Juniper firewalls
- Arista switches
- NAS/SAN storage solutions
- Support multicast implementations and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and related technologies
- Perform vulnerability scanning, system hardening, and remediation of security findings
- Develop, update, and maintain technical documentation for network, system, and operational configurations
- Support virtualized environments using VMware vSphere and virtual machines
- Work with Red Hat Linux operating systems in secure environments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- Equivalent experience (4 years of relevant job-related experience) may be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum of 8 years of additional relevant experience
OR - Master’s degree with 6 years of relevant job-related experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong background in enterprise network design and implementation
- Experience supporting classified or mission-critical environments
- Familiarity with modern network security practices and compliance requirements
- Strong written communication skills with experience producing technical documentation
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
