Industrial Cleaner / Environmental Services Technician (Evening Shift)
Location: North Chicago, IL
Pay Rate: $20.93/hour
Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Assignment Length: 6 months (with possibility of extension and full-time hire)

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner / Environmental Services Technician to support cleaning operations within a manufacturing and research environment. This role begins with general cleaning duties and may progress into production and regulated cleaning areas. You must be able to follow strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general and industrial cleaning throughout the facility
- Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and floor care using buffing and floor cleaning machines
- Clean regulated areas including:
- Production laboratories
- Manufacturing support laboratories
- Research laboratories
- Common areas such as restrooms, offices, and break rooms
- Follow all quality, safety, and regulatory standards including GMPs, SOPs, and OSHA guidelines
- Proper handling and disposal of cleaning materials and waste
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience:
- Background in hospital environmental services, cleanroom cleaning, or industrial cleaning preferred
- Entry-level candidates with no prior experience will be considered
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
