Job Description

We are seeking an HR Service Center Representative to support our centralized HR and Payroll operations. This role is part of a global HR service model designed to deliver exceptional customer experience for employees and managers. You will handle inquiries related to HR services—including Payroll, Benefits, Talent, and general HR—and guide users through Employee and Manager Self-Service tools.

This position is a long-term engagement based in North Chicago, IL, requiring 3 days per week onsite.

Responsibilities

• Respond to general HR, Payroll, Talent, and Benefits inquiries from employees and managers.
• Redirect misplaced calls and ensure employees reach the correct support area.
• Use standard procedures, policy manuals, and knowledge databases to research and resolve inquiries.
• Support Employee Self-Service (ESS) and Manager Self-Service (MSS) activities.
• Execute HR transactions such as employee data changes in Workday.
• Open, manage, and document tickets/cases in HR case management systems.
• Escalate inquiries to Tier II HR specialists when deeper subject expertise is required.
• Maintain accurate records of employee interactions and HR transactions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and ad-hoc HR projects.

QualificationsRequired

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of Human Resources experience.
• 1 year of customer service experience.

Preferred

• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with HR processes and HRIS systems (Workday experience preferred).
• Ability to navigate data entry systems and follow established procedures.
• Ability to escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.52 - $30.00 per hour
