Main Purpose of the Role
The Clinical Data Manager is responsible for developing, documenting, and executing risk-based quality management systems as outlined in the risk assessment, data management plan, and site and central monitoring plans.
This position serves as the primary liaison between data review and internal clinical or therapy teams, ensuring study data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify study-specific risks affecting study conduct and subject safety; analyze and implement mitigation strategies.
- Review study data for completeness and quality; detect and resolve data inconsistencies.
- Facilitate discussions across teams to review findings, evaluate impacts, and develop corrective actions.
- Conduct Central Monitoring activities as defined in the Central Monitoring Plan.
- Lead all data cleaning activities for assigned studies and ensure alignment with study timelines and standards.
- Support continuous process improvement within data management practices.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Health Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years in clinical data management, clinical operations, or a healthcare-related field.
- Strong understanding of data collection best practices for clinical trials and global clinical operations.
- Proven ability to identify risks, evaluate impact, and develop effective monitoring and mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in translating clinical trial requirements into data collection specifications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, or pathophysiology is a plus.
