Mid-Level Appian Developer

Description

Duties and Essential Responsibilities

• – Lead the design and architecture of Appian-based solutions to meet business goals and technical requirements.
• – Develop complex process models using Appian Designer and guide end-to-end BPM development following Appian best practices.
• – Design and implement high-quality solutions using SAIL interfaces, Complex Data Types (CDTs), and custom database schemas.
• – Provide architectural direction and technical solutions for Appian-based Business Process Management (BPM) applications.
• – Advise and support the development team on Appian capabilities, integrations, data structures, and automation strategies.
• – Mentor junior developers by providing guidance, code reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• – Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• – Conduct system performance tuning and optimization to ensure high availability and responsiveness of Appian applications.
• – Develop technical documentation including reports, user manuals, test plans, architecture diagrams and release notes.
• – Participate in business process re-engineering efforts for federal agencies or enterprise clients, providing Appian expertise to streamline operations.
• – Ensure adherance to architecture frameworks, compliance standards, and Appian development best practices.
• – Stay updated on the latest Appian features and industry advancements to enhance application functionality and team capabilities.
  
  

Technical Skills & Expertise

• – 3-4 years of experience in IT development.
• – Deep expertise in Appian BPM, Appian SAIL, and Appian RPA.
• – Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, SQL, and REST APIs for integrations.
• – Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• – Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• – Hands-on experience with Appian plug-ins and Appian Administration.
• – Ability to work independently while maintaining strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• – Strong communication skills to influence decisions both horizontally and vertically within an enterprise.
• – Takes direction from the Project Manager and Technical Lead while collaborating with developers on development tasks.
  
  

Minimum Education & Certifications

• – Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
• – Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
• – Certifications: Appian Certified Senior Developer
