What you’ll do

• Perform venipuncture and blood sampling with precision and care, utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
• Collect and process specimens while adhering to established laboratory procedures and protocols.
• Engage with patients to provide excellent service, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the collection process.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all specimens collected, including patient information and medical terminology.
• Monitor vital signs as needed, providing essential data for clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care and specimen handling.
• Stay updated on physiology and anatomy knowledge to enhance your skills in specimen collection and processing.
• Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety in all interactions, ensuring compliance with hospital regulations.

Basic qualifications

• Proven experience in phlebotomy, including blood sampling techniques and specimen processing.

Preferred qualifications

• Background in clinical laboratory experience or hospital settings.
• Familiarity with laboratory techniques, procedures, and medical terminology.
• Strong understanding of patient care principles and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to support accurate specimen collection.
