Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our fast-paced urgent care team. The ideal candidate has at least one year of experience in urgent care, primary care, or emergency medicine and enjoys a dynamic environment with a focus on efficiency, teamwork, and patient-centered care.

Schedule

We offer a rotating, predictable 4-week schedule designed for consistency and balance:

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday
• Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday

Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients and their medical histories
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests (e.g., labs, X-rays)
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and schedules
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive health practices
• Promote overall wellness and healthy living
• Continue professional development through ongoing learning and enthusiasm for leading

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in an urgent care, ER, or primary care setting
• Strong clinical knowledge in acute, primary, and chronic care
• Familiarity with healthcare regulations and documentation standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of professional ethics, team spirit, and a positive attitude
• Calm and compassionate under pressure
• Commitment to continuous learning and clinical excellence
• Quickly learns workflows and technology
• Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license (Alabama)
