Position Summary:
The National Sales Executive (NSE) team is responsible for progressing our company revenue goals by finding and developing relationships with high-value clients and strategic partners nationwide. These sales roles play a critical part in continuing the growth trajectory of ApproveShield by owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting, lead generation, discovery, qualification, proposals, contracts and closing deals, that match ApproveShield’s ideal client profile.
Core Responsibilities:
- Sales Growth
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to expand market share and achieve sales targets
- Manage and prioritize your sales pipeline, including high stakes deals and strategic client opportunities
- Ensuring you are filling your pipeline regularly to 3x your target with authentic, qualified leads
- Partnering with the SDR team for strategic outreach plans
- Business Development
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, particularly among national and regional property management companies and ownership groups
- Representing the company at key industry events to increase visibility and uncover partnership opportunities
- Ability to travel to HQ (if remote), client visits, industry events when required
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform business strategy
- Maintain a strong presence on LinkedIn by posting and sharing relevant content weekly, connecting with potential clients and current clients, and helping ApproveShield stay top of mind
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Client Success to align sales initiatives and help to strengthen our existing partnerships, always looking for ways to add expansion properties
- Provide market and client feedback to help guide internal decisions around roadmap, service improvements, portal improvements, and go-to-market messaging
- Partnering with the SDR team for strategic outreach plans
- Sales Reporting
- Update SFDC daily to ensure a clean and accurate forecast
- Log activities to keep a clear picture of our sales activity for cross-functional teams
- Ensure all accounts and opportunities are up to date within SFDC and all contacts, files and activity are appropriately logged
Key Outcomes & Measures of Success:
- Achievement of quarterly and annual revenue targets
- Growth in number of “net new” accounts
- Retention and expansion performance across client base while partnering with the Client Success team
- Operational efficiency of sales process and reporting
- Weekly & Monthly meetings with VP Sales to ensure progress and targets are achieved
- Contributing to the stellar reputation of ApproveShield by always representing us in a professional manner
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Deep understanding of B2B sales, enterprise partnerships, and relationship-driven growth strategies
- Consultative sales approach, with better listening skills than “pitching” skills
- Strong communication skills, both internally across departments and externally with clients and partners
- Highly self-directed with strong initiative; proven ability to operate independently while partnering with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrates success in fast-paced, high-growth startup environments, comfortable navigating ambiguity and change
- Knowledge of the multifamily housing industry, including leasing practices, applicant screening practices and fraud trends
- A big plus if you have multifamily contacts and have worked within industry associations for 2 years
- Strong working knowledge (or willingness to learn) of relevant federal, state, and local regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Housing Act, and applicable compliance standards across jurisdictions where business is conducted
- Willingness to complete a certification within the first 30 days
