About the Role: A premier Southeast General Contractor is seeking a detail-oriented Traveling Superintendent. Backed by a national, top-ranked parent company, we deliver design-build and construction management services for the food/beverage, manufacturing, and government sectors.
We are looking for a field leader who excels at logistics, quality control, and digital project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, coordinating subcontractor scopes and ensuring strict adherence to building standards and specifications.
- Problem Solving: Interpret specifications and resolve construction conflicts instantly to prevent schedule slippage.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead weekly contractor and owner/architect meetings to communicate progress and safety milestones.
- Quality Control: rigorous inspection of work; notifying subs of non-conformance within 48 hours and managing the correction process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and photo records using project databases.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Seasoned Expert: Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial trades and logistics.
- Digital Native: Strong experience with Procore, MS Project, Sage, or similar construction management software is essential.
- Safety First: Ability to act as the on-site Safety Officer and enforce strict safety protocols.
- Flexible: Willing to travel for short and long-term assignments across the Southeast.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Higher education in Construction Management preferred).
- Valid Driver’s License with a driving history meeting company standards.
- Must pass Drug-Free Workplace screening and background checks.
Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
