Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Chemistry teacher at ARGS in Petersburg, VA. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, delivering educational content, and fostering a positive learning environment. Additional responsibilities include assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback, and promoting an understanding of chemistry concepts. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching curriculum and contribute to student academic success.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- in Honors Chemistry, CC Chemistry and AP Chemistry
- Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Strong communication and teaching skills to foster an interactive learning environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, or a closely related field; advanced degrees are a plus
- State teaching certification in Chemistry or related subject is required
- Experience in secondary education is highly desirable
- Ability to manage classroom dynamics and engage students in the learning process effectively
