POSITION SUMMARY
Maintains a clean, sanitary environment, minimizing any infection risk. Promotes and enhances the safety of patients, families, and staff. Maintains standards of operational practice. Maintains a professional appearance. Specialist in floor care maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strips, scrubs, sweeps, refinishes, and buffs all tiled floor areas of the center, utilizing the proper equipment and procedures.
Vacuums and spot cleans all carpet throughout the center.
Performs cyclical cleaning according to project schedule.
Works on weekends and evenings as specified to do special projects such as complete floor treatment and carpet cleaning.
Assists in the general cleaning of patient’s rooms and common areas.
Assists in washing walls, furniture, ceilings, and other heavy duty cleaning chores.
Assists in the moving and rearranging of furniture.
Hangs cubical curtains and draperies after washing and as needed in patient rooms and other areas.
Cleans all interior and exterior windows in the building.
Removes and properly disposes of all trash as needed.
Maintains clean and safe working environment for all equipment.
Enters work orders in the preventative maintenance program : TELS
Cross trains as a housekeeping associate.
Reports all instances of abuse or neglect or other concerns to management.
Attends and participates in orientation, training and in-service education, and staff meetings. Ensures all mandatory training is completed on time.
Performs other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the center.
Salary : $14 - $16
