Job Description: Utility Operator
Employment Status: Full-time
Purpose and Objective of Position:
- Cleaning combustible dust inside/outside and upper/lower levels of the plant.
- Position will require manual work.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Clean bark belt.
- Sweeping and shoveling combustible dust.
- Clean around truck dump (requires operating tractor or bobcat).
- Empty hoppers and trash cans.
- Packing Dumpsters (requires operating lull if trained)
General Responsibilities:
- Be a leader in safety and conduct.
- Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
- Must maintain good housekeeping.
- Must be able to prioritize work.
- Responsible for reporting damages to equipment or property.
- Must be able to work shift schedule, (days off varies, 7am-7pm and/or 7pm-7am), overtime when needed.
- Must be able to bend, sit, reach, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. without any difficulties.
- Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions, (hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty).
- Adhere to policies within the employee handbook.
