Position Overview
As an AV Services Technician, you'll work closely with AVT's engineering and support teams to provide technical support, maintenance, installation assistance and troubleshooting for a wide range of AV systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site support for AV systems, including video conferencing, control systems, DSPs, displays, and streaming equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot AV issues for clients, with a primary focus on Philadelphia-based installations.
- Monitor and support live events and meetings to ensure high-quality AV performance.
- Assist with system configuration, testing, and end-user training.
- Document service calls, updates, and solutions in internal ticketing systems.
- Coordinate with AVT's home office and field teams in Kimberton, PA, as needed.
- Hands-on AV experience, including field service or technical support.
- Strong understanding of AV systems including AMX, Extron, Clear-One, etc.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in the field.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites in the Philadelphia area on a regular basis.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- AVIXA CTS certification or relevant technical training.
- Familiarity with IT/networking concepts relevant to AV installations.
