Summary:
ATS is seeking mission-focused and technically skilled Vehicle Operator Instructors to join the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) New Equipment Training Team (NETT), supporting the Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA). Instructors will deliver high-impact operator-level training on the ACV Family of Vehicles (FoV), providing instruction across a full range of operational and operator maintenance tasks in both land and amphibious environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction on all operator-level tasks related to ACV systems, subsystems, and equipment controls.
- Train Marines in Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), inspections, diagnostics, and operation of the ACV using technical manuals and standardized training systems.
- Maintain and update assigned periods of instruction, courseware, lesson plans, student guides, audiovisual materials, and practical evaluations.
- Recommend improvements and revisions to training curricula and instructional aids based on feedback and lessons learned.
- Conduct instruction aligned with incident events and operational conditions relevant to the ACV FoV.
- Support and participate in crew-level instruction and evaluations as required by PM AAA standards and safety protocols.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be current USMC Swim Quall Intermediate, or capable of qualifying as such.
- Must have a current SVET qualification or capable of qualifying in the SVET.
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.
- At least 4 years of experience training service members in military programs of instruction.
- Completion of the Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent.
- Must meet the USMC Water Survival-Intermediate (WS-I) qualification and be certified in the Underwater Egress Trainer (UET).
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating technical language associated with ACV operations and field-level maintenance.
- Physically capable of mounting, dismounting, and egressing from the vehicle while wearing full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on operational experience with the Amphibious Combat Vehicle or similar tracked/wheeled military platforms.
- Experience in conducting live-fire and amphibious vehicle training events.
- Familiarity with ACV-related technical manuals, standard operating procedures, and safety protocols (e.g., AATOPS).
- Prior military experience within the Stryker Combat Vehicle community as an operator.

Working Environment:
The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events. This job also requires field time where the instructor will be required to supervise students from the Vehicle Commanders Station of an ACV during field exercises in the land and on water. The Instructor will be required to wear all PPE for extended periods of time when in the field. The exercise support staff typically travels with a high degree of frequency. Travel to training exercise locations regularly includes CONUS, its territories, with occasional international travel. Exercise duty may include extended work periods beyond 12 hours; air travel in excess of 18 hours on a single aircraft; outdoor working conditions; and driving for extended periods to work sites.
