Shipping and Receiving Lead

Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Lead to oversee all aspects of warehouse distribution, shipping, and receiving operations. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring accurate order fulfillment, efficient stock management, and timely shipment processing. Your leadership will help maintain smooth warehouse workflows, optimize inventory accuracy, and uphold safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment while supporting e-commerce and warehouse distribution activities.

Duties

• Coordinates with the Account Management team on prioritizing what is received with in required lead-times or expedites, open receipts that require Doc ID’s or additional routings, non-received products requiring a return status to customers.
• Reviews daily open doc id report and coordinates with the Account Management team for resolution on receipt activity.
• Prepares all required shipping documents including packing lists, bill of lading and export documents.
• Monitors progress and completion of daily ship schedule to identify and expedite any customer orders
• Assists the Account Management team by providing timely response to inquiries for commitments for on- time shipments.
• Communicates transportation requirements with selected Carriers to ensure trailers are available to load for on-time shipments.
• Creates daily pick groups for Small Parcel and next day orders to be pulled and packed.
• Coordinate activities required to complete orders that have exceptions or special requirements
• Troubleshoots order exceptions and communicates to the Account Management team for resolution.
• Reviews daily open Advance Shipment Notifications
• Coordinates with Account Management team for Doc ID’s, Advanced Shipment Notification creation or cancellations for prioritizing work- flow and staffing requirements.
• Facilitates all incoming receipt paperwork to the appropriate departments.
• Coordinates Put Away process with Material Handlers.
• Monitors all forward pick locations and stage locations in the Receiving area.
• Provides end of the day screen shots of what didn’t ship to the Account Management team and Supply Chain Service Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations with a focus on shipping & receiving, order fulfillment.
• Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes including picking & packing, stock management, and load & unload procedures
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and manage daily operational tasks effectively
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and shipment accuracy

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
