Senior Accountant / Assistant Corporate Controller

APPLIED TECHNOLOGY (ATI) is a small business headquartered in King George, Virginia, that provides scientific and engineering support services. ATI needs on-site senior accountant services, including support for periodic DCAA audits, annual CPA audits, and contract start-ups and close-outs.

This is a full-time position, but part-time will be considered.

Candidates must be U.S. citizens, in order to be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance. Resumes should note citizenship.

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is a requirement
• BA degree in accounting (preferred) or business management; CPA license or candidate preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience; knowledge of FAR, DCAA, DCMA, DFAS, WAWF, MOCAS, and GAAP.
• Experienced with QuickBooks.
• Proficient with complex MS Excel spreadsheets and reporting techniques.
• Strong computer skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
• Excellent verbal and writing skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Utilize accounting knowledge to maintain accurate financial records following FAR, DCAA, DCMA, and GAAP guidelines.
• Prepare financial statements and reports using accounting software and MS Excel.
• Assist in financial analysis and budgeting processes.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Mentor junior staff on accounting principles and best practices.
• Stay updated on industry standards and implement new financial strategies when necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
